World Environment Day 2026

In celebration of World Environment Day 2026, participants gathered at Marine Park in Brooklyn for a guided Forest Bathing experience inspired by this year's global theme, "Inspired by Nature. For Climate. For Our Future."

This two-hour immersive experience invited participants to slow down and reconnect with the natural world through mindful presence and sensory awareness. Together, we explored a guided activation meditation, a gentle forest immersion walk, grounding and embodied reflection, and an Earth Connection Meditation that encouraged participants to reflect on the interconnectedness between personal well-being and the health of our planet.

Inspired by the World Environment Day focus on urgent climate action, ecosystem restoration, and clean energy, participants were invited to consider how meaningful environmental change begins with relationship. The experience concluded with each participant identifying one simple, sustainable act of care they could carry into their daily lives—embracing the belief that collective change is built through intentional, everyday stewardship.

The afternoon closed with a community reflection circle, leaving participants with a renewed appreciation for nature and a deeper understanding that caring for the Earth begins by remembering that we are part of it.

City Forest Day 2025

I had the pleasure of guiding a beautiful group through an Introduction to Forest Bathing at Marine Park in Brooklyn, NY, as part of City of Forest Day 2025. Together, we immersed our five senses in a silent, meditative walk — exploring the textures, sounds, and rhythms of nature through breathwork and mindful presence.

Our session also included a brief introduction to the history and roots of Forest Bathing (Shinrin-Yoku), honoring the practice’s origins and its growing connection to urban wellness here in New York City.

This experience was a reminder that healing can happen anywhere — even in the heart of the city — when we pause, breathe, and allow nature to meet us where we are.
