Sacred Somatic
Practices

Sacral SOULmatic Support was created from the understanding that true healing happens through both the body and the soul
This unique blend of somatic healing and soul-deep connection is what I call the Sacred Somatic experience;  practices that helps the body release held emotions and energy while reconnecting you to something greater within and around you.

What Is Somatic Healing?

When we say somatic, we simply mean of the body. Somatic healing is based on the understanding that our body remembers , not just our mind. Every experience, emotion, and even trauma leaves an imprint in our nervous system. Dr. Peter Levine, the founder of Somatic Experiencing®, discovered this while studying how animals respond to stress. In nature, animals instinctively release tension. They might tremble, shake, or move in ways that discharge the energy of fear. Afterward, they return to a calm, balanced state. Humans, however, often suppress these natural responses. We “hold it together,” disconnect from our bodies, and store that survival energy inside. Over time, that unprocessed energy can show up as anxiety, tension, fatigue, or emotional overwhelm. Dr. Levine’s work teaches that healing happens not by re-telling the story of what happened, but by allowing the body to complete what it couldn’t finish. Through gentle awareness of sensations, breath, and movement, we help the nervous system release that stuck energy and return to safety and flow. In other words... we heal through the body, not just by thinking or talking about what hurt us. Somatic practices invite you to notice what’s happening within, to listen to your body’s signals, and to let your system unwind naturally.

Begin Your Somatic Journey, Right Where You Are

Somatic Awareness and Parts Work

In somatic healing, the body becomes our first point of contact;  a place where emotions, memories, and inner experiences reveal themselves through sensation and movement. Often, what we feel in the body belongs to different parts of us. The ones that protect, the ones that carry pain, and the ones that still hold our joy.

Somatic awareness helps us recognize these parts, not as something to fix, but as aspects of ourselves that long to be seen and understood. When we slow down enough to notice a tight chest, a lump in the throat, or an ache in the stomach, we can begin to ask with curiosity: “What part of me feels this way?”

This body-based awareness gently supports what’s often called parts work — an approach informed by Internal Family Systems (IFS), which explores the many inner voices and experiences that make up our whole self.

As you deepen your somatic journey, you may begin to sense the connection between physical sensation and emotional expression. Each part of you has a story, and the body is where those stories live.

Working With Me in Somatic Healing

Somatic sessions with me are an opportunity to slow down and reconnect with your body’s wisdom in a supported space.

Together, we explore what your body is holding. Through breath, gentle movement, guided awareness, and compassionate dialogue.

Each session is IFS-informed, trauma-sensitive, and rooted in self-trust.

Whether you’re healing from emotional overwhelm, navigating transition, or simply seeking to feel more present in your body, this work meets you where you are.
